Avondale
Avondale is a moderately-sized suburban community located west of the Phoenix metropolitan area. With a population of nearly 85,000 people, Avondale resides along the Agua Fria River in a prominent commercial corridor. The city features business parks, retail centers, and a variety of restaurants and dining options.
The City got its name from the famous Avondale Ranch after the post office in Coldwater relocated to the area. During the 1900s, Avondale provided a respite for travelers venturing through the area towards the “Gold Coast.” In 1946, Avondale was officially incorporated as a city in Maricopa County, and the community has experienced a considerable amount of growth in recent years.
